A fun idea for the DS, when it was still popular. The retro Graphic design fits with the nostalgic nature of fishing as well as the compact size of the DS screen. Locations, fish species and characters were skewed to the fantasy side making for a colorful and inviting world.
Variety of colorful and suggestive graphics to be used as set dressing, bringing a sense of past life to the interior of the ship. Purposely done in different styles to give the ship a history. Some are meant to be more gaudy and cheap looking than others.
Taking the X Games and giving it a twist was the intent of this 'fantasy' motocross game.
I spent limited time on GF2, focusing mainly on set dressing and a few 'family' characters, all set in the colorful 1960's NYC & Havana.
